Yesterday I did not pick up my camera or even work on editing anything I have previously taken. However, I did watch a YouTube tutorial by Adorama on lighting a still-life. I pulled out a softbox that I have that is for product photography and set it up to practice taking my own still-life photos. I really like being able to control the light more by being able to adjust its intensity, position and being able to create shows on the subject by blocking light. I experimented with subjects of various heights and using both white and black backgrounds.
