Day 5 of 30-Day Challenge

I was feeling inspired today even though the weather remains unusually hot and is uncomfortable. I found a dandelion in my front yard that was captivating to me and so I put up a piece of black foam board behind it and played around with aperture and shutter speed until I got something I liked. I understand how these two relate to one another, but I still cannot envision what the resulting image would look like in my head before I take the picture. This means, that I end up playing around with aperture, exposure and ISO for a while until I get something I like. Then I maneuver the subject and frame it and then snap away.
